Monkey Business

One of my favorite things about traveling is seeing the local wildlife. Especially when you get to see animals that aren’t common back in the States. On our recent trip we were lucky to see monkeys, spotted deer, peacocks, wild boar, elephants and numerous bird species.

On our second day in India at the Taj Mahal a group of monkeys were running around playing and causing havoc. Other than the zoo I have never seen monkeys in person. They were quite something. The monkey in the picture was taking a rest after chasing around one of his pals along the grounds. I watched these guys for a couple of minutes and they pretty much ignored the humans around them so I figured it was ok to approach them. I got fairly close and shot a few frames before this little guy got back into a running mood and took off after his pal.

For good fun here is a pic of Casey with An elephant in Udaipur on his way to a wedding ceremony.
