This photo is from a project I worked on over in Hawaii last weekend. I shot this exterior of the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletic Complex at University of Hawaii for Mitsunaga and Associates, an Architecture firm based in Honolulu. The building is LEED Gold certified and the firm wanted the images to submit for design awards and also marketing promotional material. We shot this in the early morning and lucked out with a great Hawaiian sky for a backdrop! For Photographers: This was a fun shoot for me because I was testing out some equipment I haven't used before. This was my first time testing out the 17mm Canon Tilt Shift lens and I was really pleased with the results. That lens is really sharp all the way across! Because of the tight working conditions between the road, fence and building this scene would be really tough put together without that lens. I also tried the 5D Mark III. My Mark II has served me well and until now I haven't felt like I had a good business reason to upgrade. The Mark III worked great and I enjoyed working with it.
