Maryknoll Architecture

Last weekend I was in Honolulu shooting photos for a couple different clients. One of the assignments was to shoot “fine art” black and white architecture images for Maryknoll Catholic School to hang on one of their walls in a recently re-designed office. The goal was to put a focus on the shapes and tones. Create pieces that could hold up on their own but for a person who knows the campus could recognize.

Here are a couple of the images that I liked the most. Above is an image of the campus church. Shot late in the evening with the last traces of light. Below is the edge of the elementary school. I love the strong lines of the building set against the soft moving clouds.
